This class encompasses the basics of business and teaches students to work together to develop products or services. This past week business 101 students were involved in the Elevator Pitch competition, during which they had ninety seconds to describe to a group of judges what their company was about...
...As expected recruit ri.com won the "Overall People's Choice Award" and when I asked them about their business a team member, Pat Helmas remarked, "We are a recruiting agency starting in Rhode Island and we want to expand. We want to make things easier for the coaches and players." It was evident that they felt this competition was serious and were advocates of starting a real business after the business 101 project.
