PUBLIC DISPLAY (www.pubdisplay.com) is a high-tech start-up based in PROVIDENCE, RI. We’re developing a suite of web applications and services aimed at making it easier for consumers to locate, organize and act upon digital information. Our first web app is www.fusecal.com.

We’re founded and run by a team of successful entrepreneurs who have broad experience in web applications, web services and software. Our Company is funded by a combination of seed investment and on-going consulting work.

We’re a group of smart, motivated and energetic people who have the vision to see the ‘big picture’ but enjoy playing hands-on roles. We are self-motivated, proactive, and good at prioritizing. And, most of all, we enjoy the challenge of creating something new. We’re looking for a talented web designer with a similar perspective.

Job Description: Web Developer
Public Display is looking for a part- or full-time web developer with experience in creating content-driven websites. The job will involve a mix of responsibilities, including working on the FuseCal.com application and contributing to a variety of consulting projects – usually those involving content management systems. You will be expected to elicit project requirements, collaborate with visual designers, and implement websites using HTML and CSS in a fast-paced but methodical manner. The job will demand considerable interaction with clients and require an ability and willingness to work within our development and testing team.

Desired Qualifications/Skills:
➢ Required:
o Experience with HTML and CSS
o Ability to learn web scripting languages, such as Ruby, Python, PHP, or ASP

➢ Desired:
o Experience with Drupal and/or other content management systems
o Experience with Javascript and AJAX
o Experience with a web scripting languages, such as Ruby, Python, PHP, or ASP
o Experience with database queries
