Brown University is looking for a Senior Programmer Analyst to provide high level technical and analytical support for all phases of the University application software life cycle. Working independently, designs and develops software solutions to business requirements. Works with Brown written applications, purchased packages, and other automation technology in support of administrative customers.  This is a 2 year position.

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

·         2-4 years’ experience providing information technology services

·         Minimum of 2 years of experience implementing and supporting SungardHE (previously SCT) Banner applications preferred.

·         Knowledge of Oracle Internet Developers Suite, including Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports.

·         Strong PL/SQL programming skills required.

·         Experience with reporting tools such as Crystal or Cognos a plus. 

·         Knowledge of object-oriented programming and web technology, including Java, Javascript, etc. a plus.

·         A working knowledge of mainstream desktop software, mainstream relational database management systems, familiarity with the full software development life cycle, operating systems, and hardware in use at Brown. 

·         Ability to work effectively independently, and as part of a team.

·         Excellent written and oral communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
