Health Information Exchange Data Manager
Reports To: Unknown FLSA Status: Exempt
Description

Job Summary
This position will help to develop an initial data management plan in close coordination with HEALTH and EDS. This includes identification of the initial data management tasks to be carried during enrollment. This also includes hiring additional staff to assist with enrollment data needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Entering information on HIE enrollees as they are submitted,
Resolving ambiguous matches,
Merge and unmerge of records as needed
Resolving error reports
Monitoring data transfers
Running and actively monitoring audits reports
Following up on users who have not logged within a certain time frame, monitoring the quality of the data
Implementing break the glass policies, etc.
Develop, implement, documents draft policies and procedures related to data quality and management
Prepare project reports and documents for management and others as requested.
Other duties as identified and deemed necessary

Assist with the orientation and ongoing development of new associates.
Represent the RI RHIO and HIE in a positive manner to all stakeholders.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience
A bachelor’s degree in health care, technology, business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience is required.
Two to four years experience working with healthcare technology
Desired Qualifications
Four years of related experience, including prior experience working with health information technology and /or exchange projects with excellent technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated project management skills in a professional services environment
Experience working with data standards, mapping data and processes to standardize/normalize data.
Ability to analyze policy and technical alternatives to develop recommendations
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong analytical, writing, and presentation skills
Ability to perform as a team player
Health care experience or knowledge of health care business strongly preferred (i.e. working with hospitals, physician practices health centers, managed plans etc. )

None
Work Environment
This position will work in normal business office conditions.
Physical Demands
The tasks of this position are typical for working in an office environment. An associate is regularly required to perform tasks while sitting at a desk, using normal hand dexterity. Mobility is required, including standing, moving about, and sitting. Occasional travel out of the office for meetings, etc. may be required. Good vision is required, including both close and distant objects. Must be able to maintain a good attendance record.
