social media marketing

Are there any social media marketing gurus here, or anyone that has ever worked in a word-of-mouth based marketing campaign?
We are trying to spread word about Scholars for Students without investing too heavily in Google Ads and would much prefer to make some great YouTube videos/facebook groups.
I'd greatly appreciate any ideas you have to share, thanks so much!

This isn't exactly what you're looking for since it's geared toward small business owners, but you may find it useful. It's a paper called "Social Media for Small Business" that fellow BatchBluer Adam Darowski and I wrote, which gives an overview of what's out there and how people can use it to help market their business.
