LAN gaming in Providence
Posted on October 23rd, 2008, by colin blankenship
I am an avid gamer and I am looking to see who out here plays games, and would like to set up a LAN party somewhere. Right now, I am just seeing who may be interested...
I have a place in mind with a good network connection, and if we play consoles, there is a very nice projector. I am working on more details at the moment, but let me know what the interest is and I will start putting this together.
pm or post here, how ever you want to get ahold of me

No need to be a hardcore gamer, just someone who wants to play at a local spot, where a community can grow into something strong.
At the moment, I have put up a website, www.gamers-roost.com. You can create an account, and there a very simple forum there. Just bookmark the gamers-roost.com site, and keep an eye out, as there is not much to do on the site yet.
I am curious what games people are playing, and on what systems. Eventually, I plan on getting a more defined space to put this all together.
Currently, just give me some ideas what we can play, make sure we have all the stuff needed to make a fun night of fraggin and baggin

I got a forum on the website, gamers-roost.com. If you want to help me get this bad boy off the ground, please create a quick account, and post some info about what you like on the boards. I got a space currently lined up downtown, but I odn't know what people like to play or what you play on, so I need to you to tell me!
thanks for your interest, and i hope to see you on the boards!

I got a fast connection, with some switches, but I am curious what I need to have to in order to get this guy up.
Also, what game do we want to play?
We are looking at getting a LAN party set up next thursday (Nov 7th, i think).

We are getting a location settled on soon, downtown, but in the meantime:
To get the ball rolling we are now hosting a Rock Band 2 and Wii Sports event at McFadden's every Wednesday night from 5-8pm... Newcomers do not be afraid - these games are easy and fun!
Did we mention the $3 beers and 1/2 priced appetizers
